About 10 years ago, a friend of mine from About 10 years ago, a friend of mine from Coimbra told me about the Dominican Nuns of Lumiar, who organized conferences, followed by tea with cookies baked by them… Although my curiosity was arisen, I didn’t do much about it.

A few years later I met a nun, Sister Juliet, who invited me to attend a conference at the Lumiar Convent. I was deeply touched by the quality of the communication, the hospitality, the simplicity and openness of the nuns.

It took me a few more years to mature the design of the film about their daily lives. The doors were opened to me and our friendship became deeper. I discovered the women who were living behind the habit and the beauty of their spiritual experience.

Timeless Garden allows to keep the memory of these women, breaking stereotypes of a closed and conformist religious life.
